About CivitasBay.org
CivitasBay is a community-driven platform that preserves and distributes AI models through torrents. We emerged as a solution when CivitAI began removing models from their platform, creating a need for reliable alternative hosting.
What We Do
We maintain a growing collection of AI model torrents that are continuously seeded through our dedicated seedbox infrastructure. This ensures models remain accessible even if they disappear from their original sources.
How It Works
- Our automated system finds deleted, popular models on CivitAI
- We create torrents for these models and add them to our seeding infrastructure
- Models remain available through our always-on seedbox network
- We've partnered with CivitAIArchive.com for their search and metadata discovery features
Current Challenges & Future Plans
Seeding everything continuously from a single seedbox doesn't scale: each new model adds to the file count, the disk footprint, and the connection load. The bigger the catalog grows, the harder it becomes to keep every torrent live at once.
We're moving toward an on-demand seeding model. Instead of seeding all torrents 24/7, the long tail lives in our private archive and gets re-seeded automatically when a peer requests it. Popular models stay hot; rare models still come back.
Alongside that, we're focusing on preserving deleted checkpoint models first — the larger, harder-to-replace files that lose the most when they vanish from their original host.
Join The Movement
Let's seed like it's 2005 again! The strength of this community depends on users like you. By seeding these torrents, you help ensure these models remain available to everyone. Spread the word, share your bandwidth, and be part of preserving AI innovation for the community.
Every seeder counts. The more of us who participate, the more resilient our model library becomes.
Auto-seed via RSS
Want a hands-off way to help? Most modern torrent clients — qBittorrent, Transmission, Deluge, ruTorrent — can subscribe to an RSS feed and auto-download new torrents the moment they're added. Drop our RSS feed into your client and it'll start seeding new uploads automatically.
Only want a slice? The feed accepts the same filters as the listing page, so you can subscribe to just the categories you care about, e.g. Pony, Illustrious, Flux.1 D, or Checkpoints only.
This pattern is called broadcatching, and it's how Linux distros and other open archives keep their swarms healthy: dedicated seeders set it up once and quietly carry the catalog without anyone having to remember to add torrents by hand.
