CivitasBay is a community-driven platform that preserves and distributes AI models through torrents. We emerged as a solution when CivitAI began removing models from their platform, creating a need for reliable alternative hosting.

What We Do

We maintain a growing collection of 4,671+ AI models (and counting) that are continuously seeded through our dedicated seedbox infrastructure. This ensures all models remain accessible even if they disappear from their original sources.

Our current focus has been on LoRA models due to their smaller file sizes, though we're working to expand our collection to include larger checkpoint files.

How It Works

1. Our automated system identifies trending models on CivitAI
2. We create torrents for these models and add them to our seeding infrastructure
3. Models remain available through our always-on seedbox network
4. We've partnered with CivitAIArchive.com for search and metadata discovery features

Current Limitations & Future Plans

We're facing some technical challenges with scaling our infrastructure, particularly around the maximum number of files that can be seeded from a single seedbox. In retrospect, we should have started with larger checkpoint models rather than the more numerous LoRA files.

We're currently working on:

• Solving scaling limitations in our seeding infrastructure
• Developing an on-demand seeding system to manage resources more efficiently
• Building user upload functionality once our core infrastructure is stable
